Job Summary
NurseCare One is a healthcare staffing company (not a home health agency) currently building a roster of licensed and certified professionals for upcoming temporary and per-diem contracts throughout South Florida.
This posting is intended for clinicians interested in being considered for future contract-based assignments as they become available.
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for Per Diem Healthcare Staffing opportunities on a 1099 basis. This role involves providing high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings, supporting patients with a wide range of healthcare needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems
- Provide specialized care including catheter care, medication administration, and wound care as needed
- Support patients with complex medical needs including Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, and behavioral health conditions
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Document patient interactions and care provided in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing basic life support skills when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, or hospital environments such as ICU or trauma centers
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient safety protocols
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately and safely
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
- Proficiency in using medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and understanding aseptic techniques
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care in fast-paced environments
