Overview

NurseCare One is a healthcare staffing company (not a home health agency) currently building a roster of licensed and certified professionals for upcoming temporary and per-diem contracts throughout South Florida.

This posting is intended for clinicians interested in being considered for future contract-based assignments as they become available.

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Phlebotomists to join our healthcare staffing team on a per diem (1099) basis. This role offers flexibility to work in various clinical settings, including hospitals and outpatient facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory procedures skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and anatomy. Prior laboratory and hospital experience is highly valued, along with proficiency in venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing. This position is perfect for professionals committed to providing high-quality patient care through accurate and efficient blood collection and related procedures.

Duties

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and specimen integrity
• Collect, process, and label specimens accurately following laboratory protocols
• Obtain vital signs and assess patient condition as needed during procedures
• Maintain proper documentation of all procedures performed in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Ensure patient comfort and provide excellent patient service throughout the specimen collection process
• Follow infection control policies and safety guidelines to prevent contamination or injury
• Assist with specimen transportation to the laboratory for analysis
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, adhering to hospital or clinic standards
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status or specimen issues

Experience

• Proven laboratory experience with a focus on phlebotomy, blood sampling, or specimen collection in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and aseptic procedures
• Prior hospital or healthcare facility experience preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates with relevant training
• Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture accurately and efficiently under various conditions
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to comfort patients during blood draws and other procedures
• Familiarity with hospital protocols related to specimen handling, documentation, and safety standards .
